How to use RTV Silicone Rubber. First, the components are generally cleaned and dried. The RTV Silicone Rubber is extruded from the metal hose for sizing, and the rubber is cured from the surface to the inside when it contacts the moisture in the air, and the maximum curing time is not more than 24h.
Precautions. 1. RTV Silicone Rubber (room temperature vulcanized silicone rubber) can be cured at room temperature, and then placed in a humid oven at 50~100℃ for 4~8 hours to remove low molecular weight and fully cure to ensure the performance of the glue. After the product is used, the hose should be tightly capped so that it can be stored and used again.
2. When using RTV Silicone Rubber for potting, the thickness of one accumulation should not be too large. If it is more than 3mm, the method of layered pouring and vulcanization can be adopted. The larger the accumulation thickness of the glue, the longer the complete curing time.
Room temperature classification. The RTV in RTV Silicone Rubber has one or two functional groups at both ends of the molecular chain (sometimes in the middle), and under certain conditions (moisture in the air or appropriate catalyst), these functional groups can react to form high molecular weight cross-linked structure. According to its vulcanization mechanism, it can be divided into condensation type and addition type; according to its packaging method, it can be divided into two types: two-component and one-component.
